Daniel Berger: Dealing with hand injury

Posted on July 9, 2018 at 1:30 PM

Berger is dealing with a hand injury and was forced to decommit from playing in this week's John Deere Classic as a result, the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports.

Berger will look to return to full health in time for next week's Open Championship, so he's elected not to risk any further damage to his hand at this week's John Deere Classic. Berger, who finished sixth at the U.S. Open in his penultimate start, most recently placed 67th at the Travelers Championship in late June.
